Why Classic Roofing

Southern California breaks roofs differently. We build for that.

Your home or building is the most valuable thing you own, and the roof is the part everything else depends on. Damage out here is slow and quiet — the kind that causes problems for years before anybody notices.

  • 01 We will talk you out of work you do not need If your roof has five good years left, we say so. A maintenance visit today beats a replacement you were pushed into — and it is why so much of our work arrives by referral.
  • 02 Specified for the exposure, not the catalogue UV, sixty-degree daily heat swings, blown sand, Santa Ana wind and coastal salt air each destroy roofs differently. We spec for the one your building actually has.
  • 03 The same crew, on your roof Family-run, with three decades of Southern California roofing behind the people who turn up — not a rotating subcontractor whose name nobody can tell you.

Know your roof

The tile is not what keeps the water out.

It is the layer underneath — and out here that layer wears out decades before the tile above it does. Understanding that one fact is the difference between a lift-and-reset and an unnecessary new roof.

“Excellent! Hector and Francisco did an amazing job removing a skylight built into an old housing for a swamp cooler. They worked their tears off and see the results in posted pix. Wow! And for a very fair price. Total pros and very nice chaps!”

Questions

The things people ask us most.

Straight answers on cost, insurance, timing and the repair-versus-replace question.

01

Do you really offer free roof inspections?

Yes. A standard roof inspection anywhere in our service area is free and carries no obligation. You get photographs of what we find and a written estimate for any work we recommend.

02

How much does a new roof cost?

It depends on size, pitch, complexity, the material you choose and what we find once the old roof is off. Anyone quoting a firm number without seeing the roof is guessing. Our written estimates itemise materials, labour and any deck repair allowance so you can compare bids honestly.

03

Will my insurance pay for a new roof?

Insurance generally covers sudden, accidental damage such as a wind or storm event — not wear, age or deferred maintenance. We document damage thoroughly, provide the scope and measurements your carrier needs, and can be present when the adjuster inspects. If the failure is age rather than a covered event, we will tell you before you file.

04

Can I repair my roof instead of replacing it?

Often, yes — and we will say so when it is the better value. The honest test is whether the underlying layer still has service life. Repairing one bad valley on a roof with years left is smart; repairing a roof whose underlayment has failed across the board just means paying twice.

05

Can you reuse my existing tile?

Frequently. On many desert tile roofs the tile is fine and only the underlayment has failed. We lift and stack the tile, replace the underlayment, swap out broken pieces and reset it — a lift-and-reset costs less than an all-new tile roof and keeps the house looking identical.

06

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. Classic Roofing LLC holds California Contractors State License Board licence #1086883. You can verify it on the CSLB website, and we provide a certificate of insurance on request before work begins.
