Roofing service

Asphalt Shingle Roofing

A shingle roof is a complete system: starter course, field shingles, hip and ridge, underlayment, ice-and-water at the details, and ventilation. Skip a component and the warranty is the first thing you lose.

  • Owens Corning, Malarkey and GAF architectural shingle systems
  • Complete system installs so manufacturer warranties actually apply
  • Correct nailing pattern and placement — the most common failure we see
  • Intake and exhaust ventilation balanced for desert attic temperatures

Shingles in a desert climate

Heat is the enemy of asphalt. Shingle life in the Coachella Valley depends heavily on attic ventilation and on choosing a product built for high-temperature service. A well-ventilated attic keeps the deck cooler, protects the shingle from the underside, and lowers cooling load in summer.

We size intake and exhaust together. Adding vents at the ridge without matching intake at the eave is a common and counterproductive mistake.

Installation details that matter

Nail placement decides whether shingles stay on in a wind event. Nails driven high, overdriven, or angled are the single most common installation defect we find during inspections — and they void warranties.

We install manufacturer-specified starter strips and hip and ridge, ice-and-water shield at valleys and penetrations, and new flashings rather than reused metal.
